Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy prefers privacy, according to family member

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have raised their children mostly away from the public eye, but their firstborn, Blue Ivy, has shown star quality from an early age.

Despite accumulating a list of impressive accolades, including being the youngest Grammy winner, the pre-teen remains incredibly humble.

Her grandmother, Tina Knowles, spoke to E! News, revealing insights about all three of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children. Tina shared that Blue is multi-talented, though she prefers to avoid the limelight.

Blue Ivy has sworn her grandmother to secrecy about her many talents. Tina mentioned that Blue excels at playing the piano and is self-taught, but insists on keeping it under wraps.

“She’s self-taught and sounds like a concert pianist. She paints, draws, and writes poetry. She’s just an artistic soul,” said Tina.

Tina added that seven-year-old Rumi might follow her mom and sister into the spotlight, describing her as a “natural little star.” Meanwhile, Rumi’s twin brother, Sir, is more interested in books and electronics.

Blue Ivy is set to step into the limelight at the end of the year with the release of the much-anticipated film, Mufassa: The Lion King. Premiering in theaters on December 20, Blue will voice Kiara, her mom’s character Nala’s daughter.

Barry Jenkin, the film’s director, praised Blue’s performance, telling ET, “There are things she does in this film that are deeply emotional. She’s a thespian.” He emphasized that Blue was chosen for her talent, not her famous family.

“It had nothing to do with mom and dad. She was the right young woman for the job,” he stated.

Blue’s family is extremely proud of her. Her grandfather, Matthew Knowles, penned an open letter to her in March, highlighting her exceptional spirit and encouraging her to find her true passion in life.

In his touching message, Matthew wrote, “It’s clear that you have an extraordinary Knowles spirit, and I am confident that you will find your true passion in life. Whether it’s in music, art, science, business, or any other field, I hope that you have the courage to pursue it wholeheartedly.”

He ended his letter by urging Blue to embrace new opportunities with bravery. “Chase your dreams, follow your heart, and always believe in the extraordinary potential that lies within you,” he wrote.
