Big Sean Drops New Album “Better Me Than You” – Listen Now

The wait for Big Sean’s new album is finally over as he drops his latest LP, Better Me Than You.

On Friday (Aug. 30), Big Sean released his sixth studio album, following a four-year hiatus from new LPs. Better Me Than You marks Sean’s first album not associated with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, instead exclusively under Def Jam Recordings. The Detroit-born rapper’s new project features 21 tracks and boasts guest appearances from Cash Cobain, Kodak Black, Gunna, Larry June, DJ Premier, and more. Leading up to the album’s release, Sean put out several singles including “Precision,” “Yes,” “Together Forever” with The Alchemist, and “On Up.”

Just hours before the official drop, Big Sean treated fans by sharing the album’s tracklist and complete production credits.

Big Sean has been in the promotional mode for his new album since March when he released his first solo single in two years, “Precision.” Despite its release, the single was somewhat overshadowed by a track from Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar. After officially announcing Better Me Than You this past July, the project faced some setbacks due to leaks, prompting Sean to address the issue on social media. Initially set for an August 9 release, the album was pushed back and finally arrived on August 30.

Sean aims to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart for the fourth consecutive time, following the No. 1 debuts of his previous albums Dark Sky Paradise (2015), I Decided (2017), and Detroit 2 (2020).
