Big Sean Drops New Album “Better Me Than You” – Listen Now

The wait for Big Sean’s new album is finally over as he drops his latest LP, Better Me Than You.

On Friday (Aug. 30), Big Sean released his sixth studio album after a four-year hiatus. Better Me Than You marks Sean’s first album on Def Jam Recordings, departing from Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music. This 21-track collection features guest appearances from Cash Cobain, Kodak Black, Gunna, Larry June, DJ Premier, and more. Before the album dropped, Sean teased fans with singles like “Precision,” “Yes,” “Together Forever” with The Alchemist, and “On Up.”

Hours before the release, Big Sean shared the album’s tracklist and full production credits.

Big Sean has been gearing up for this album since March when he dropped “Precision,” his first solo single in two years. However, the track was overshadowed by Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar’s viral hit “Like That.” Despite this, Sean announced the album in July, even though it faced delays and leaks before its official release. Initially set to drop on Aug. 9, the album was postponed until Aug. 30.

With this release, Sean aims to secure his fourth consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200, following the success of Dark Sky Paradise (2015), I Decided (2017), and Detroit 2 (2020), all of which debuted at No. 1.
