Billy Ray Cyrus’ Ex Firerose Loses Access to His Credit Cards After Court Ruling

Billy Ray Cyrus recently secured a legal victory amid his ongoing divorce battle with Firerose. According to court documents obtained by ET, a judge in Tennessee ruled that Firerose no longer has legitimate reasons to access or make further charges on Cyrus’ credit cards.

The court documents revealed that both Cyrus and Firerose were instructed to exchange income and expense statements, as well as asset and liability statements, along with proposed division plans by July 11. Additionally, they were ordered to engage in good faith mediation by August 31.

Cyrus and Firerose got married in October 2023. Barely a year later, Cyrus filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct. He also mentioned fraud as grounds for an annulment, claiming that his consent to the marriage was obtained under fraudulent circumstances.

Shortly after filing for divorce, Cyrus, 62, filed an emergency motion to prevent Firerose from making unauthorized use of his finances. Cyrus alleged that Firerose spent more than $96,000 of his money after he filed for divorce on May 23.

Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, denied these accusations, stating in her own court documents that she was living in the same manner since their marriage on October 10, 2023. She argued that Cyrus had no right to cut her off financially during the divorce proceedings.

Firerose, 36, also claimed that Cyrus was emotionally, psychologically, and verbally abusive throughout their marriage. However, Cyrus’ lawyers, Rose Palermo and Jason Talley of Cheatham Palermo and Garrett, dismissed these allegations and made some counterclaims.

In a statement to ET, the lawyers commented on Firerose’s accusations, stating, “The allegations that Ms. Hodges states in her answer and counter-complaint are especially confusing and suspicious in its veracity since she begged Mr. Cyrus to forgive her and take her back only 2 days after he filed his pleadings to dissolve his marriage. If Mr. Cyrus was truly guilty of the allegations that Ms. Hodges alleges in her pleadings, then it is mindboggling to try and explain why she would want to return to live with him.”

Cyrus further addressed Firerose’s claims in June court documents, alleging that it was actually he who was subjected to verbal, emotional, and physical abuse by Firerose. Firerose later spoke to Page Six, claiming that Cyrus had very strict rules throughout their marriage and could be “illogical and insane and terrifying.”

Cyrus did not comment directly on Firerose’s new claims, but the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer seemed to address them indirectly on Instagram. He posted a photo with the caption, “Happy Sunday everybody! Don’t believe I’ve ever heard the word LIAR this much on Sunday morning. I’m sure very soon the truth will be revealed.”
