Blake Lively Channels Britney Spears in Versace Dress at Movie Premiere

Blake Lively channeled Britney Spears at a recent movie premiere, paying tribute to one of the singer’s most iconic looks. On Tuesday, Blake turned heads at the “It Ends With Us” premiere in New York, donning a one-strap Versace dress once worn by Britney herself.

This homage to Britney comes on the heels of news about Britney’s bestselling memoir being on track to be turned into a biopic. As previously reported, Britney has the final say on who will portray her in the movie, making Blake’s fashion choice even more interesting.

Before Blake, Britney sported this elegant dress back in 2002 at a Versace show in Milan, Italy. Blake shared with Extra that the dress holds significant meaning to her because Britney represented love, beauty, youth, hard work, determination, strength, sexuality, and delicacy to her.

Blake revealed that once the dress became available, she knew she had to have it. She confessed she has been holding onto it for six months, waiting for the perfect occasion to debut it.

Blake even mentioned the upcoming Britney movie, speculating that her fashion choice might be an attempt to angle for a role in the biopic.
