Blake Lively Jokes Ryan Reynolds is ‘Trying for Another Baby’

Blake Lively can’t resist her husband in a suit with a furry friend!

On July 11th, Blake Lively, 36, shared a video on her Instagram Stories featuring her husband Ryan Reynolds on stage at the London premiere of the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie. The video also included a special appearance by Dogpool, a character played by a dog named Peggy.

In the clip, Reynolds, 47, was seen holding Peggy, and Lively humorously captioned it with a playful suggestion that Reynolds was trying to get her “pregnant again.” Alongside an alarm sticker, she wrote, “SOS He’s trying to get me pregnant again. Put the dog that you find adorable in spite of societal k9 expectations away and take off the damn teal suit! Rude.”

The couple, married since 2012, shares daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, along with a fourth baby welcomed in 2023.

At the premiere, Reynolds held Peggy close, introducing her to the audience alongside his costar Hugh Jackman. Peggy, clad in her red Dogpool bodysuit, was introduced by Reynolds, who said, “Guys, this is Peggy. AKA Mary Poppins, AKA Dogpool. Get a good look. Her nipples are the size of children’s fingers, she won ‘Ugliest dog in Britain’ but we’re not telling her that.”

Reynolds then planted a kiss on Peggy’s head, adding, “Because she is a 10 in our hearts, isn’t she?” He continued, “And that tongue by the way is real. And I have tasted it and I’m sorry about that. Yeah, she loves to lick, loves to just get right in there. She is really, truly amazing,” explaining that Peggy “went through more training than Hugh Jackman” for the new Marvel movie.

Concluding his introduction, Reynolds declared, “We love her very much.” He also shared more snippets from the premiere, including photos with Jackman, 55, and Peggy on the red carpet, along with snaps of himself posing with fans and costar Emma Corrin.

Earlier this year, Peggy’s Dogpool Instagram account expressed excitement about finishing her first movie. The caption read, “That’s a wrap on my first movie! We worked our pants off but it was worth it. Everyone on set was the utmost professional, especially Shawn Levy and Hugh Jackman.”
