Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni’s On-Set Clash Reveals True Feud Origins

If you’ve been following the buzz around Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s new movie, It Ends With Us, you might be aware of the rumored feud between the two stars. The two may be embroiled in a public relations skirmish, with anonymous sources emerging to present various sides of the story, either praising one party or disparaging the other.

Earlier this week, sources informed TMZ that Baldoni had asked his on-set trainer about Lively’s weight ahead of a scene where he needed to lift her. Although Baldoni reportedly has back issues, Lively, who had recently given birth to her son Olin, felt body-shamed by his concern.

In contrast, another source has indicated that Lively contributed to the on-set tension. “The tension was so obvious,” an insider told Page Six. According to the source, Lively, who also served as a producer on the movie, was not very engaged in the filming process and sought to leave the set as soon as possible. “Once she was done with the scene she was really impatient, said, ‘Am I done? Can I go?,’ and as soon as they said ‘yes,’ there was like a Blake-size hole in the wall,” the source revealed.

Furthermore, if she wasn’t leaving the set, the mother of four was reportedly staring at her phone between takes.

Indeed, this aligns with viral videos that suggested there were high tensions between Lively and Baldoni since the beginning of filming. Sources had previously hinted that the feud arose from their creative disagreements during post-production. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lively even requested a new cut of the movie from editor Shane Reid, who had previously edited movies for her husband, Ryan Reynolds, like Deadpool & Wolverine.

It’s uncertain which cut of the film made it to theaters, but it’s clear that tensions have only been escalating.
