Brad Paisley’s Wife Shares Health Update Post Vocal Surgery

Brad Paisley’s wife, actor Kimberly Williams-Paisley, is expressing her gratitude to fans for their well-wishes after revealing a significant health issue over the weekend.

Williams-Paisley has been grappling with vocal issues for a couple of years, which led to her undergoing surgery to repair a damaged laryngeal nerve. This procedure has left her with a visible scar on her neck. Initially, she shared that these vocal struggles have been both mentally and physically taxing over the past couple of years.

However, in an update provided on Monday (Aug. 19), the Father of the Bride star seemed optimistic. She posted a cheerful selfie, with a scarf delicately covering the scar on her neck.

“Recovery is on track and I’m feeling really good,” Williams-Paisley reassured her fans.

“Thank you so much for all the love and support following my last post,” she expressed. “You reminded me of the power of authenticity, vulnerability, and hope. I’m feeling validated and seen and ever more grateful.”

Williams-Paisley had previously kept her vocal issue private after an “embarrassing & scary” episode where she lost her voice onstage at her annual Alzheimer’s fundraiser in Nashville.

In her initial post, she shared that it felt “too vulnerable” to disclose what she was enduring—until now. She also revealed that she experienced feelings of “shame and self-loathing,” and faced many “old emotional wounds” while she navigated life without the ability to use her voice freely.

“I’ve learned the strength & beauty of silence,” she mentioned. “I’ve become a serious meditator. I’m deadlifting over a hundred pounds. I’m taking better care of my body. I’m managing stress. I’m dissolving shame. I’m feeling more whole, empowered & joyful.”
