Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s New Thriller Could Be This Year’s Gem

The new trailer for *Wolfs* is out on YouTube, and it looks epic. Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reuniting on the screen, and this time we get more of them together, interacting, than ever before. Scheduled for release on September 20, 2024 in theaters, this movie may just be the comedy-action film of the year.

The lengthy trailer for *Wolfs* gives us a good sense of what the movie is about. It opens with a woman killing someone in what looks like a fancy hotel room or apartment above a large city metropolitan area. She freaks out and calls a number, which is answered by George Clooney’s character, Jack. She tells him she was directed to call this number if she ever got into serious trouble. Cut to a scene where Jack shows up at the hotel room door and cleans up the murder scene, wrapping the body up and preparing to dispose of it.

The woman says, “I never knew people like you existed.” He responds, “They don’t. No one else can do what I do.” Of course, there’s then a knock at the door, and Brad Pitt, as Nick, arrives to do exactly what George Clooney, as Jack, had just done. Apparently, there is someone else who can do what Jack does. The two men make a call to their handler, who tells them that they will have to work together, the two lone “wolfs” working as a pack.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney as Nick and Jack head to the parking garage with the wrapped body hanging from a luggage rack, which they then neatly deposit into the trunk of a car and close the trunk. Suddenly, the trunk pops open, and the supposedly dead young man pops his head up, alive and well. “Oh sh$%” the men say.

It is at this point that it looks like *Wolfs* descends into hilarity and madness. Nick and Jack are driving around with the not-really-dead guy in their backseat, who keeps asking questions about their partnership. “We’re not partners.” The men keep saying.

Car chases, witty dialogue, and a mystery to unravel seem to be the name of this game for these fixers. *Wolfs* might just give us the magic of the *Oceans 11* movies without all the supporting characters. We’ll get to see Brad Pitt and George Clooney, two stellar actors in their own right, at their best, and working together again, as they did in *Burn After Reading*, will make them even better.

*Wolfs* is directed by Jon Watts, who has already proven his worth in *Spider-Man: Homecoming*, *Far From Home*, and *No Way Home*, where he was a writer and director. He fought so hard for those films, sending Marvel multiple scripts and even makeshift trailers, that he truly deserved to be the man at the head of the trilogy, and we can only hope he comes back for the fourth film in the franchise. In the meantime, we’ll get to see what he can do with an older, more mature cast of actors that has experience delivering both comedic and serious tones with great timing.

Fans expect Brad Pitt and George Clooney in *Wolfs* to be nothing short of brilliant. Check out the trailer for a taste of what’s to come, and in the meantime, maybe rewatch the *Oceans 11* movies. They’re always great fun.
