Brad Pitt Slams Angelina Jolie’s ‘Intrusive’ Demands in $350M Legal Battle

Brad Pitt has revealed that his ex-wife Angelina Jolie has insisted he disclose all communications with his inner circle concerning the notable 2016 private jet trip. This new development has been reported by In Touch Weekly, showcasing the turbulent dynamics between the former Hollywood power couple.

The documents revealed that Brad objects to Angelina’s requests, characterizing them as broad and intrusive. The conflict reignited after Angelina sold her share of the French vineyard Chateau Miraval, which they had jointly purchased during their marriage. This sale occurred without Brad’s knowledge, prompting him to file a lawsuit against her in 2022.

Brad claims that the vineyard was intended to be a legacy for their children. The couple, who started their relationship in 2004, parted ways in September 2016 after Angelina filed for divorce. The split followed an incident on a private jet involving the couple and their children, during which Angelina accused Brad of physical misconduct.

Brad has consistently disputed Angelina’s narrative of the events. Investigations by the FBI and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services concluded without pressing any criminal charges against him.

Brad’s lawyer has emphasized that Brad has taken responsibility for his actions but refuses to admit to any allegations that he did not commit. “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one — unlike the other side but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do,” his lawyer stated.

The dispute over Chateau Miraval centers on an alleged commitment between Brad and Angelina not to sell their shares without mutual consent. Angelina later demanded to be bought out, leading Brad and his business partners to offer over fifty million dollars for her stake.

However, negotiations fell apart as their divorce battle intensified. Angelina sold her investment to Stoli, a company owned by a Russian billionaire. Brad alleges that Stoli is attempting a hostile takeover of Chateau Miraval and has pursued legal action to nullify the transaction.

Angelina has denied any wrongdoing and contends that she did not need Brad’s consent to sell her stake. The company Angelina sold her shares to, Nouvel, has countersued Brad, claiming he mismanaged the business and seeking $350 million in damages. Brad denies these allegations, and both lawsuits remain unresolved.

In his latest motion, Brad accused Angelina of making 54 document requests, many of which he claims are irrelevant to the current dispute. He noted that some requests pertain to their divorce and the 2016 plane incident, according to PEOPLE.

Brad’s legal team expressed a willingness to avoid further public disputes and agreed to produce documents detailing the events of the flight that led to their divorce. “To avoid unnecessary motion practice and another public filing rife with personal attacks, Pitt voluntarily offered to produce documents sufficient to show everything that occurred on the flight that precipitated the ex-couple’s divorce,” Brad’s lawyer stated.
