Brad Pitt is currently navigating a challenging period in his personal life, prompting him to channel his energies into his professional pursuits.
While working on the upcoming film F1, which centers around motorsports, Brad has also ventured beyond his successful Miraval wine enterprise to launch a new alcohol brand called The Gardener.
He continues to own the $500 million-valued Château Miraval estate in Provence. However, his latest focus is on gin, drawing inspiration from his life with Angelina Jolie and the south of France, where their vineyard and home are located.
The Gardener gin is crafted in France and is said to encapsulate the essence of the Côte d’Azur. It boasts a 43% spirit and claims to be “handcrafted” by Brad himself.
According to the brand’s website, Brad is described as a “dreamer, a visionary, and a man deeply connected to nature,” driving him to create a drink that captures the beauty of the place he loves.
Brad’s vision for The Gardener is to evoke, “The luxurious simplicity of an afternoon spent on the water, sunset on a terrace overlooking the waves, the freeing of one’s mind in nature, beautiful food, refreshing drinks, and the coming together of friends and family. It embodies the carefree moments of a long holiday in the country and the elegance of falling into nature’s rhythm.”
Angelina and Brad purchased Château Miraval in 2011. After their divorce in 2016, they split their shares, and Angelina later sold her half in October 2021. The sale infuriated Brad, leading to a legal battle between the former couple.
Brad’s attorneys argued that Angelina sold her share without his consent, whereas her legal team contended that she refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) presented by Brad when he attempted to buy her portion.
Angelina’s lawyer later remarked that Brad was trying to “punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse,” referencing domestic violence allegations brought up during their divorce proceedings.
In a heartfelt appeal to Brad, Angelina’s lawyer stated, “While Angelina again asks Mr. Pitt to end the fighting and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing, unless Mr. Pitt withdraws his lawsuit, Angelina has no choice but to obtain the evidence necessary to prove his allegations wrong.”
As of February 2024, Brad retained 60% ownership of the vineyard.
