Bradley Whitford Criticizes Cheryl Hines for Silence on RFK Jr Endorsing Trump

West Wing star Bradley Whitford sharply criticized actress Cheryl Hines for her silence regarding her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement of former President Donald Trump. On Friday, the actor didn’t hold back on social media, expressing his disapproval after Kennedy announced he would be suspending his independent presidential campaign to support Trump.

After Kennedy’s announcement, Whitford took to social media to express his frustration, specifically targeting Hines. He wrote, “Hey @CherylHines, way to stay silent while your lunatic husband throws his support behind the adjudicated rapist who brags about stripping women of their fundamental rights. Gutsy. Great example for the kids. Profile in courage.”

Kennedy’s decision to drop out of the presidential race and endorse Trump caused a stir, especially since Hines has been vocally opposed to the former president. In response to the shift, Hines issued a statement:

I deeply respect the decision Bobby made to run on the principle of unity. Over the last year and a half, I have met some extraordinary people from all parties — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. It’s been my experience that the vast majority of all parties are truly good people who want the best for our country and for each other. It has been an eye-opening, transformative, and endearing journey.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Kennedy revealed in an interview with Tucker Carlson on Monday that Trump had asked him to assist in selecting personnel for a potential second Trump administration. This revelation has further intensified discussions around Kennedy’s surprising political shift.

The clash between Whitford and Hines highlights the growing tensions and divisions within political and personal circles. It remains to be seen how this new political alliance and the resultant controversies will unfold as the days progress. Nonetheless, the reactions and the public discourse underscore the charged and often polarizing nature of contemporary politics, even among Hollywood celebrities.
