Brazilian Artist Giulia Engaged to Conor Kennedy: ‘Easiest Yes Ever’

Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy are engaged.

The celebrity couple announced their engagement on Monday (Aug. 12) with a joint Instagram post. The caption read, “easiest yes of all time,” accompanied by a blue heart and ring emoji. The post featured three photos of the couple hugging and showcasing the engagement ring, along with a reaction video of Giulia after the proposal. In the video, Giulia exclaims, “I literally can’t believe this. I’m dreaming, this is a dream,” and adds that it’s “the best day ever.”

Giulia Be, a Brazilian singer-songwriter and actress, started dating Kennedy, a musician and activist, in 2022. Conor Kennedy, the son of politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is known for keeping a low social media profile and previously dated Taylor Swift briefly in 2012.

Giulia Bourguignon Marinho, known professionally as Giulia Be, is a rising star in Brazil. She made her singing debut with Warner Music Brasil in 2018 with the single “With You.” A multilingual talent, Giulia can perform in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Her skills earned her a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2021 Latin Grammys and another for Best Portuguese Language Urban Performance for “Aviso De Amigo” at the 2023 Latin Grammys.

In addition to her music career, Giulia Be made her acting debut in 2022 with the Netflix film Depois do Universo (Beyond the Universe). “It’s my first time acting,” she previously shared with Billboard. “I’m super, super happy with everything that’s been going on. It was my first experience, but it’s a beautiful movie. It’s unbelievable to see so many people see this beautiful story. My character is a classical pianist. She goes through the struggle of having Lupus and kind of dealing with the disease and her dream, and finding a way to make them both work. It’s a movie about hope and love.”
