Bri Muller Discusses Love Triangle Drama

Sabrina “Bri” Muller has faced numerous challenges on Below Deck Mediterranean this season, many of which have originated in the laundry room. From misplacing Captain Sandy Yawn’s shirt to mistakenly putting cashmere in the dryer, she just can’t seem to catch a break. Complicating matters further, second stew Elena “Ellie” Dubaich believes Bri broke the girl code by getting involved with deckhand Joe Bradley, a person Ellie was interested in.

This love triangle has created a rift between the coworkers and cabinmates, affecting their working relationship. The drama escalated to the point where their boss, Chief Stew Aesha Scott, had to intervene. Ellie approached Aesha, accusing Bri of maintaining a “burn book” to document her mistakes in the laundry log. Aesha, increasingly frustrated, seemed close to involving Captain Sandy.

The outlook for Bri seems grim as we head into the next episode. We caught up with her to discuss the ongoing issues, her experiences, and if she felt abandoned.

Before joining the show, Bri wasn’t a dedicated fan. She watched it occasionally and found it interesting enough to pass the time. However, stepping onto the boat for the first time made her extremely nervous; her hands were shaking, albeit in a positive way.

Bri has received a lot of support on social media, for which she is very grateful. However, she also acknowledges the darker side of social media, where horrible comments can sometimes appear. Despite that, she prefers to ignore the negativity and remains protective of her cast members.

Regarding the accusation of breaking the girl code, Bri shared that she and Ellie had discussed Joe before the charters. They had agreed it was open ground, which is why Bri felt she hadn’t broken any unspoken rules. She understands why Ellie was upset, but insists it could have been avoided with a mature discussion.

After hooking up with Joe, Bri chose to be honest and told Ellie first thing in the morning. Although it impacted their work environment negatively, Bri hoped transparency would help maintain peace. She recalls wanting to assure Ellie that she wouldn’t further stoke the flames.

Bri decided to stay in Joe and Nathan Gallagher’s cabin for a few days simply for fun and laughter. She needed that happiness at the time, and found comfort in their company without any malicious intent.

Although Joe was aware of the tension, he didn’t do much to mitigate the situation. Bri suggests that Joe was just being young and enjoying the experience, without much consideration for the drama it was causing.

Reflecting on Aesha’s handling of the situation, Bri couldn’t praise her chief stew enough. Aesha managed the internal conflicts in a positive and composed manner, which Bri found very beneficial. She admired Aesha’s approach of having long, constructive chats instead of raising her voice.

On the other hand, Bri found the laundry tasks particularly stressful, especially when mishaps such as losing Captain Sandy’s clothes or ruining cashmere occurred. Although Captain Sandy was chill about it, Bri found such mistakes tough to handle. She believes that these experiences have been valuable learning moments.

When it comes to the “burn book” accusation, Bri finds it absurd. She explains the book was merely her way of keeping track of mistakes to ensure she took accountability. It wasn’t about blaming others but about maintaining her sanity in a stressful job.

Kate Chastain, a well-known figure in the Below Deck world, came to Bri’s defense, something Bri deeply appreciated. Support from someone with Kate’s stature meant a lot to her.

As for the rest of the season, Bri hints at more drama to come, involving several conflicts and resolutions.

Currently, Bri and Ellie are not on speaking terms. Bri feels she needs time and space to digest everything that has happened. However, her relationship with Joe remains friendly, and they still keep in touch.

Bri is proud she didn’t quit despite the challenges. She wanted to prove to herself and her parents how hard she could work. She acknowledges that many underestimate the complexities of her job.

As for the future, Bri is enthusiastic about doing another season and working with Captain Sandy again, eager to show her growth and improvement.
