Brianna Chickenfry Responds To Gold Digger Accusations: ‘I Was Rich On My Own’

Zach Bryan has been dating Barstool Sports personality Brianna Chickenfry, whose real name is Brianna LaPaglia, for a little over a year now. According to Brianna, Zach slid into her DMs after she made an appearance along with some of her co-workers at his Forest Hills Stadium concert last June.

After chatting a bit, their first date turned into an 18-hour road trip together. Brianna mentions that she was messaging with Zach and he mentioned needing to drive his truck from Philadelphia to Oklahoma. Brianna, who admits she was drunk at the time, spontaneously offered to accompany him—despite never having met him in person.

The spontaneous decision appears to have paid off. The couple went public with their relationship last July, and Brianna has even joined Zach on the road during his *Quittin’ Time* tour this summer. They’ve been traveling together with their pets, Boston and Jack, and Brianna’s cats, adding to their family dynamic.

Zach recently expressed his deep affection for Brianna in a heartfelt tribute as he concluded his tour:

“To this lady, you are my rock and my safe place. Thank you for being there for me in every high and low this entire year. The amount of love and compassion you got in your heart is impossible to believe. Thanks for taking one for the team and loving an idiot like me.”

Like any celebrity couple, Zach and Brianna have had to deal with their share of online trolls. Brianna recently responded on TikTok to a troll who accused her of being a “gold digger.” She handled the criticism with a light-hearted quip: “I was rich on my own, he’s just richer.”

It’s clear that Brianna had a successful career before meeting Zach. She hosts two of the most popular podcasts at Barstool Sports and is a major personality within the pop culture space. Love her or hate her, Brianna was undoubtedly making good money prior to her relationship with Zach, although she humbly admits that he has a greater wealth. Nonetheless, trolls on the internet will always find something to criticize. It doesn’t seem to trouble Brianna much, though.
