British TikTokers Are Obsessed with West Texas Tacos

If you travel to Texas, you will find some incredible tacos. That’s not just us saying this; if you follow the famous British TikTok duo Josh and Jase, they will second this comment. Earlier this week, they traveled all the way to El Paso, Texas in search of finding the BEST taco in America.

Josh and Jase’s first stop was an El Paso classic: Chico’s Tacos. When people travel to El Paso for the first time, it’s almost a ritual to stop by and try their tacos for the first time. That’s exactly what Josh and Jase did. So what did they think of Chico’s? They loved the atmosphere inside Chico’s but described the food as “different”.

So, they did like the food, but the comments of the video were quick to point out that they ordered the wrong thing! They did not order traditional hard or soft shelled tacos; they got taquitos. But they listened and they responded…

In a follow up video, literally just a few hours later, they went to a popular food truck area called the Oira’s Food Truck Park. While they were there, they came across the Triple Count Mexican Grill. They ordered the birria quesatacos and the monster quesabirria tacos. Watching their reactions when taking their first bites were priceless.

So it’s official: according to Josh and Jase themselves, it seems like the Triple Count was their favorite spot for tacos (at least in El Paso).

Frankly, I would love for them to explore other places around town; perhaps the L&J Café, Lucy’s, Kiki’s Restaurant, or the Good Luck Café so they can get a wider experience on how we make tacos in El Paso. But until then, I’m glad that we made it on their radar on their quest to find “the best tacos in America”.
