Brittany Cartwright Announces Podcast Plans with Jax Taylor

Brittany Cartwright has filed for divorce from Jax Taylor as of Tuesday. Following the announcement, many have questioned the fate of their joint endeavors, including their podcast “When Reality Hits” and the Bravo show The Valley. Brittany recently updated fans about the future of these projects. Here’s what she had to say.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are no longer together, with Brittany filing for divorce after five years of marriage. Court documents cite January 24 as the date of their separation, attributing the split to “irreconcilable differences.”

News emerged that Jax was served the divorce papers on camera. Now, the former couple is dealing with the complexities of their joint ventures, such as their podcast.

In the August 30 episode of “When Reality Hits,” Brittany addressed the podcast’s future. “Moving forward, Jax and I will be doing the podcast separately,” she explained.

Brittany continued, “Thank you all for the support. I love you very much and I hope you enjoy an episode that has some of our best memories together from the past. Just hang in there with me.”

It was the first time Brittany publicly addressed the divorce, saying, “I unfortunately can’t speak to details since everything has been heavily documented on the show since we happen to be filming right now.”

She added, “You will see how everything plays out once the show airs, but I will say this: this season has been the most difficult season I have ever had to film. I never imagined I’d go through something so personal and painful while having the world watch.”

There have been accusations that Brittany’s divorce filing is a “publicity stunt” to boost the show’s ratings. Brittany denies these claims, stating it’s been a long journey to reach this decision. She emphasized that her relationship with Jax was toxic and that she had to muster the courage to leave.

Brittany also mentioned that her son is her top priority and motivation. She is seeking sole physical and legal custody of their three-year-old child, Cruz.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright began their relationship in 2015 and got married in 2019 in Kentucky, Brittany’s home state. They welcomed their son Cruz in 2021.

The couple confirmed their separation earlier this year on their podcast. They revealed that they were living in separate homes at the time. Brittany previously disclosed that the “last straw” was an argument where Jax yelled at her for hours, prompting her to leave with her son.

Viewers will get a glimpse of the divorce proceedings in The Valley Season 2, expected to air in early 2025.
