Broadway Meets the Beach Returns to Seaside Heights, NJ

One of the most enjoyable aspects of visiting Seaside Heights in the summer is the variety of activities the town organizes throughout the year.

When my wife and I lived there, we always looked forward to the weekly concerts on the beach that the town hosted all summer long.

Seaside Heights is also reviving a much-loved event this summer, Broadway Meets The Beach.

If you’re not familiar, Broadway Meets The Beach is an entertaining event where Broadway singers take over the boardwalk, delivering performances through the summer.

As reported by Shore Beat, this summer’s Broadway Meets The Beach starts on Friday, July 12th at 6:30 PM.

The first performance is a Tribute Night to Glen Slater, one of Broadway’s renowned names.

The excitement continues on August 2nd with a tribute to Chazz Palminteri, the writer of A Bronx Tale and Bullets Over Broadway.

Finally, Broadway Meets The Beach will conclude on August 30th with another tribute.

This time, it will honor Lynn Ahrens, famous for works like Susical, Ragtime, and the cartoon School House Rock.

I’m particularly excited about the possibility of hearing “Conjunction Junction” or “I’m Just a Bill” that night!

Bring your beach chair to the Franklin Avenue Stage (where Broadway Meets The Beach has been held in the past) to enjoy this free concert series this summer!
