Bunnie XO Shares Her First Impression of Husband Jelly Roll

Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, recently shared details of their first encounter, giving fans a glimpse into their personal history. The couple met at the Las Vegas Country Saloon back in 2015 when Jelly Roll was opening for the Moonshine Bandits.

“I was like, ‘What is this? What is this man? This big southern boy,'” Bunnie XO reminisced on her Dumb Blonde podcast.

The event was intimate, with a small crowd, and Bunnie XO noted, “J wasn’t really known at the time. He was just opening for the Moonshine Bandits. He might have had a bit of a following in Nashville, but on the West Coast, people hadn’t really heard of him. We were actually there for the Moonshine Bandits.”

The couple got engaged in 2016 and decided to marry on the same day at a chapel in Las Vegas. Jelly Roll later credited Bunnie XO as a significant influence in his life during an interview with Billboard in 2023, describing her as “a beacon of change in my life.”

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, has made his mark in the country music industry over the last few years. On her podcast, Bunnie XO expressed gratitude for the warm reception they’ve received from the country music community, describing it as “so welcoming and nonjudgmental.”

Bunnie XO has also built her own brand, although she initially got her start in sex work. She officially shut down her sex work website in 2023. She clarified that her decision had nothing to do with her husband.

“A lot of people seem to be confused about how I just retired from [sex work] last year because I’ve been married for seven years… so here’s the answer. I’m an open book & don’t mind letting y’all know,” she wrote on Facebook. “I’ve always worked and made money on my own. When I married J, I refused to give up my independence & rely solely on him.”

She continued, “To be honest, he never once asked me to. He knew how important it was for me to make my own money. But he always said, ‘One day, baby, you won’t have to do this anymore.'”

Despite their openness, Bunnie XO mentioned on her podcast that their sex life is pretty straightforward. “My husband is so vanilla. He doesn’t like any of that stuff. He’s like, ‘Just ride me and get off. Give me a bj, ride me, and get off,'” she said with a laugh. “We are so busy. The last thing we think about is sex.”

When it comes to intimacy, Bunnie XO shared that watching TV together is what often sets the mood for them. “Our thing is we love crawling into bed and watching a TV show together. We don’t get to do that, especially during tour. So whenever we can have a normal sit-down and watch a show, that’s like foreplay for us.”
