Mauricio Umansky has faced a challenging year, marked by the breakdown of his marriage to Kyle Richards and now, the cancellation of his reality show.
The real estate mogul was the star of “Buying Beverly Hills” for two seasons, but Netflix decided not to renew the series for another year. According to a source who spoke to Deadline, the decision was made because the production costs outweighed the viewership numbers.
Premiering in 2022, the reality series focused on Mauricio and his staff, including his daughters Farrah and Alexia, at his family-run real estate company, The Agency.
Mauricio’s estranged wife, Kyle, also made appearances on the show, though she only featured in the second season as their marriage crumbled. The dramatic fallout of their relationship played out over several episodes, and Kyle further highlighted it on her reality show, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Although the couple has yet to officially file for divorce, signs point towards that inevitable conclusion. Last October, after 27 years of marriage and raising four daughters together—Farrah, Alexia, Sophia, and Portia—they decided to split.
Meanwhile, Kyle has formed a close bond with country singer Morgan Wade, fueling speculation that they are in a relationship. Simultaneously, Mauricio appears to have moved on as well.
The real estate mogul has been seen publicly with other women and was recently filmed kissing someone at the airport in Mykonos, Greece.
It’s clear that both Kyle and Mauricio are venturing into new chapters of their lives.
