Canto Team Reunites for Exclusive New Horror One-Shot ‘The Feeding’

Fans of the Canto series are in for a treat this Halloween as writer David M. Booher (Canto, Ghostbusters, Rain) and artist Drew Zucker (Canto, The House) unveil their latest venture into the horror genre with a one-shot titled The Feeding. With vibes reminiscent of Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow, The Feeding promises a thrilling experience. This collaboration, a labor of love for both creators, will be available courtesy of Syzygy Publishing. Here’s an exclusive first look at the cover and a preview of the interiors.

“The Feeding is a twisted one-shot that has been a labor of love, especially for horror fans like me and Drew,” Booher shared. “It all began over beers at New York Comic Con and found early support through crowdfunding. Now with Syzygy Publishing and Image Comics, our story will reach a wider audience. Huge thanks to Chris Ryall, a champion of comics, who didn’t hesitate when we approached him. Drew and I are beyond excited to share this bloody Halloween treat with readers!”

Zucker added, “It’s always exciting to see a project start small and then grow. Bringing the entire Canto team back for something totally different has been an exhilarating process, only enhanced by working with Chris Ryall and Syzygy. We’re thrilled to welcome readers into the dark and twisted world we’ve created this Halloween.”

The Feeding centers around Nolan Ward, who has tried everything to forget his disturbing past—drinking, drugs, day trading, and even sex—but nothing has worked. His past catches up with him in the form of a twisted painting called The Feeding… which eats people. The painting is hungry, and Nolan must confront this demon or risk becoming its next meal.
