The situation unfolded when Cardi was working late in a New York studio. She posted a video rating Popeyes’ honey lemon pepper wings a mere 2 out of 10, criticizing the taste and comparing it to soda.

In her video, Cardi criticized the wings, accusing Popeyes of “fumbling” the flavor and unfavorably likening it to Sprite.

A representative for Popeyes responded, “If you can’t take the heat, then get out of the kitchen. And we are in the kitchen. A lot.” The rep expressed that Popeyes welcomes all reviews and rankings, emphasizing the importance of variety.
