Cardi B Defends Heated Argument After Videos Surface

Cardi B is standing up for herself after a video surfaced showing her in a fiery argument outside a New York City apartment complex.

On Monday, August 5, The New York Post released footage from an incident dated July 28, capturing Cardi B in a heated exchange with a woman outside a New York City apartment building. The clip shows the Bronx-born rapper leaning out the window of her black SUV, threatening to “f**k up” the woman. The origin of the argument remains unclear, but it appears Cardi was infuriated by the woman taking pictures of her and her group.

“You were harassing them, though. You touched their car! I saw you!” Cardi B is heard shouting in the video. “I’m recording you, b**ch. I’ll f**k you up, for real!”

The woman reportedly also kicked a Tesla Cybertruck parked outside the lobby of the building.

Cardi B addressed the situation on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the video went public.

“B**ches trying to be funny and make this something it’s not but I don’t care,” she tweeted. “I don’t like when people think they can bully people for no reason.. like how you gonna do all that yelling, hit their car, AND call the cops all because they are taking pictures in front of a building?!”

Cardi clarified that she was defending the women in her entourage. “Why y’all trying to make me sound bad??” she asked in a separate tweet. “This was July 28th and I was defending them but ok.”

This controversy arises during a complicated period for Cardi, who announced both her pregnancy and her decision to divorce her husband Offset on August 1.

Taking to Instagram, Cardi shared the news that she is expecting her third child. In her detailed post, she expressed gratitude, stating, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!”

On the same day, TMZ reported that the divorce “was a long time coming,” and the former couple had grown apart. Rumors suggesting infidelity were debunked as the cause of the separation. Cardi is also seeking primary custody.
