Cardi B’s Son Wave Has a Sky-Themed 3rd Birthday, Despite Ocean-Inspired Name

Cardi B’s son Wave celebrated his third birthday in sky-high style over the weekend.

On Saturday, the “WAP” rapper shared a behind-the-scenes look at her youngest child’s airplane-themed birthday bash on her Instagram Story. Cardi is known for throwing her kids elaborate birthday parties, and Wave’s most recent celebratory gathering didn’t disappoint!

The soon-to-be mom of three’s Story began with a video of Wave and his older sister Kulture, 6, hanging out together on an outdoor patio. The 3-year-old wore a pair of painted jeans, Timberland boots, and his famous Baby Shark diamond chain necklace. Cardi followed the clip of the siblings with a video of her son and estranged husband, Offset, dancing inside the party venue.

The Grammy award-winning artist gave a closer look at the plane-themed party decorations as well, which included a huge “Wave Airlines” display and accompanying signs for “departures” and tarmac runway floor decals. Wave’s 5-tier birthday cake was an incredible creation with multiple edible models of planes, passports, suitcases, tickets, and more airplane-themed items adorned on the intricate dessert.

Offset also shared some photos and videos from the party on his Instagram Story, including one of Cardi holding Wave and showing off her growing baby bump. The two rappers are expecting their third child together, though Cardi filed for divorce in July, a day before announcing the pregnancy.

“With every ending comes a new beginning,” Cardi wrote in her announcement. Addressing her unborn child, she continued, “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”

The “I Like It” rapper added, “I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Cardi B previously filed for divorce from Offset in September 2020, but the pair later called it off. Their second divorce proceedings follow six years of marriage.
