Catch the Wildest Veto Meeting Ever on ‘Big Brother 26’

If there was one word to describe Big Brother 26 so far, that word would be “chaos.” Week 3 hasn’t even concluded, yet we’ve witnessed brewing rivalries, intense arguments, and major blindsides. But the veto meeting that capped the August 7 episode perhaps overshadows everything, becoming one of the most memorable in the show’s history.

At the center of it all is Tucker Des Lauriers. This marketing and sales executive has emerged as one of the season’s biggest characters, fueling some of the most significant storylines to date. His rivalry with Lisa Weintraub significantly led to her eviction. Remarkably, he has volunteered to go on the block twice. On tonight’s episode, Tucker attempted his most audacious move yet.

After winning the veto, everyone assumed Tucker would naturally use it on himself to avoid another Thursday eviction. However, after learning from Kimo Apaka that Quinn Martin possessed another power, Tucker concocted a bold new strategy. Teaming up with HoH Cedric Hodges, he devised a risky plan. Rather than using the veto on himself, he decided to save fellow nominee Angela Murray. The next step in the plan was for Cedric to put up Quinn, who had lied about his power. The ultimate aim was to expose Quinn’s deception at the eviction, hoping the house would vote him out.

During the veto ceremony, Tucker executed his plan with confidence. He stood up and told the houseguests, “I think this game is being played too safe. It’s Big Brother, expect the unexpected. Here you go, Angela.” His words landed like a bombshell. The house was in shock, and Angela herself was moved to tears. Tucker followed up with, “You gotta take the competitors out. It’s what this game is all about.” Quinn, thinking he was safe, had no idea of Tucker’s expectations for Cedric to follow through on their plan.

Unfortunately, the reality did not meet the expectations. Cedric, reluctant to put up a member of the “Pentagon,” chose instead to eliminate another power: Makensy Manbeck’s. Despite Makensy informing him about her “America’s Veto” to dissuade him, the HoH went along with the house consensus to flush her power.

Before Tucker could conclude the ceremony, Makensy interrupted to formally use America’s Veto. She announced that with America’s Veto in play, Ainsley (the identity behind the thematic “BB AI”) would now decide the third nominee, not the HoH. This move added another layer of unpredictability to an already chaotic game.

Live feed viewers know that even more fallout is expected from this drama-laden veto meeting. For now, the focus shifts to America’s vote. Fans now have 12 hours to vote for the next nominee among the remaining houseguests who are neither currently nominated nor safe. The potential nominees are Cam, Chelsie, Joseph, Kimo, Leah, Quinn, Rubina, and T’kor.

To cast your vote, visit www.CBS.com/BBVOTE. Voting remains open until 9:00 a.m. PT on August 8. Each person/email address can cast up to 10 votes. Note that data charges may apply. For more details on online voting and terms, go to www.CBS.com/BBVOTE.
