Catching Up with Russell Dickerson: ‘Bones’ EP Out Now!

The wait is over; Russell Dickerson’s new album has finally arrived! On Friday, Aug. 30, the EP ‘Bones’ was released. The multi-platinum country music artist has been eagerly anticipating this fourth album. The record features five songs, including the title track, ‘Bones.’

In July, we had the chance to talk to Russell just before the release of ‘Bones.’ Although he didn’t reveal specific dates back then, Dickerson hinted that the album would be released soon. Since the single ‘Bones’ dropped, fans have been eagerly waiting for the rest of the album.

‘Bones’ has been doing exceptionally well, marking Dickerson’s biggest radio debut and significant achievements in his already successful music career. He is currently headlining the ‘Good Day To Have A Great Tour’ in the UK, where he has consistently sold out shows. It’s no surprise that ‘Bones’ debuted at No. 2 on the UK Radio Country Airplay Charts and was also featured in Rolling Stone’s ‘Songs You Need to Know’ list.

American Songwriter describes the ‘Blue Tacoma’ artist as a ‘well-established country hitmaker,’ and Dickerson has proven his ability to create hits repeatedly. Alongside the heartfelt title track ‘Bones,’ the album includes a unique acoustic song, ‘Cold Beer Conversation,’ which Dickerson co-wrote with Old Dominion’s Brad Tursi and Ryan Hurd.

After concluding his UK tour, Dickerson will return to the United States to continue on the Sam Hunt tour. When he’s not performing and creating new music, Russell makes sure to spend quality time with his wife and kids, who inspire much of his work.

In an interview with Mens Journal, Russell shared, ‘This is my fourth album, so we are making it special. I am excited about every song on the list. Wow, 11 years, 2 kids, and now four albums, we love it.’
