Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Lookalike Daughter Carys Shares Reflective Family Photos

Carys Douglas has given her followers a glimpse into her private life by sharing some intimate photos capturing “peaceful moments”.

The 21-year-old daughter of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas turned to Instagram on Friday to explain her recent absence on social media. From her snapshots, it seems she’s been having a wonderfully fulfilling few weeks.

One of the photos shows Carys, a college student, soaking up the sun on a boat. With the wind in her hair and her skin glowing, she looked undeniably radiant.

Another image features her enjoying a meal on the boat’s deck, accompanied by someone who appears to be her brother, Dylan.

Additional photos capture a picturesque set of steps and a young girl engrossed in a book, with beautiful surroundings in the backdrop.

Captioning the photos, Carys wrote: “Some peaceful moments from the past couple of weeks.”

Her followers were quick to respond to her brief hiatus from social media, flooding her comments with praise, calling her “beautiful,” “radiant,” and “gorgeous”.

Carys shares a close bond with her parents and often attends high-profile events with them. This is despite confessing that she hated their level of fame during her childhood.

“I hated it,” Carys shared with Town & Country about the constant attention from paparazzi. “I used to get really upset. They would jump on the subway and sit right in front of me. I was, like, six. I was confused,” she continued.

She added, “That’s when I knew, ‘If this is going to be what it’s like, I need to focus on who I really am, and this is going to be something that’s just going to happen, and I can’t do anything about it.'”

Both Carys and her brother Dylan, who is 24, have shown an interest in following their famous parents’ footsteps into the entertainment business. However, their parents had some reservations.

“Michael and I would be the first parents to say, ‘You know, maybe you should think of another career,'” Catherine said in a previous interview on Today.

“But we’ve seen how passionate they are about the craft. They know what celebritydom is. They know the good, the bad, the warts and all that.”

She further added, “Their passion is about acting as a craft. They’ve done every theatre camp – my kids went off to summer camp every year, to theatre camp with the Broadway kids, and held their own very, very well, I have to say.”

Carys shares a particularly close relationship with her mom. In 2021, the mother-daughter duo spoke about their bond, with Catherine revealing: “We are very close – we talk about everything.”

“It’s really special – I am lucky,” chimed in Carys. “We are open and honest with each other. She has taught me all the ins and outs of life but also to have fun and to cherish every moment.”

She added, “Our sense of humor is pretty similar, so we are always laughing when we are together. My mother is, honestly, the funniest person I know.”
