Catherine Zeta-Jones Shares Heartfelt Birthday Tribute to Son, Dylan

Catherine Zeta-Jones is celebrating her son, Dylan, on his birthday.

Last week, from her Instagram account, the proud mom, 54, shared an endearing tribute to Dylan, which was set to the tune of John Lennon’s “Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy).” The post included touching footage of baby Dylan cuddling with his mom. In the caption, Zeta-Jones wrote, “Happy 24th Birthday to my son, @dylan__douglas. The joy and love you give me every day is insurmountable. To be your Mama is a gift that I never take for granted. I love you, my beautiful boy.”

Fans quickly filled the comments section with warm wishes and heartfelt emojis, but they weren’t alone in marking the special occasion. Zeta-Jones’s husband, Michael Douglas, also shared his own tribute featuring a recent photo of Dylan in a cowboy hat. Michael expressed his pride, writing, “Wow @dylan__douglas! 24! You’re moving fast my son! Wishing you a very happy birthday from a proud Father!”

Zeta-Jones also brought some humor to her IG Stories by posting a nostalgic black-and-white throwback photo. She joked, “The best production we have ever been involved in,” and added, “Dylan thinks Wall Street tops it! I’m on the fence.”

In a 2022 interview with Parade, Zeta-Jones revealed that both her son Dylan and daughter Carys are keen on following in their parents’ footsteps into the entertainment industry. She mentioned, “They’d love to join the business! My son has done theater production since high school. They’ve both been to drama camp. But they also love learning and are history buffs. My son graduated from Brown University this year and he studied political science. He’s doing internships and working on political PACs. My daughter is currently studying foreign relations and diplomacy at school. They got their brains from me, though my husband likes to differ.”

When discussing how their children have handled having famous parents, Zeta-Jones said, “My kids know that daddy and mommy are part of a very small percentage of a huge industry that actually got to a certain point. And they know about celebrity-dom. So, they don’t want to be famous; they just want to be good actors. But look, it’s hard to be the son or daughter of anybody. You don’t have to be in Hollywood.”
