WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Canadian singer Celine Dion announced on Saturday that her iconic “Titanic” movie theme song “My Heart Will Go On” was used without authorization at a Montana rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump the previous night.

The song and its accompanying video clip were showcased on a large screen near the stage at former U.S. president’s rally held in Bozeman, Montana on Friday.

“In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” stated the singer’s social media account, also questioning the choice of song with: “And really, that song?”

Dion, who has won five Grammy Awards, is especially renowned for this particular song. She had reportedly declined to perform at Trump’s January 2017 inauguration when he assumed office following his victory in the 2016 election.

Trump’s rally on Friday was organized to support a Republican candidate for the Senate. During the event, Trump launched personal attacks on Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. He criticized Harris for her lack of interviews and major press conferences since taking over following President Joe Biden ending his reelection campaign.
