Chappell Roan, a rising star in the music industry, recently shared a magical experience she had with Miley Cyrus on a new podcast episode of *The Comment Section* on Wednesday, July 17. Known for her hit single *The Rise and Fall of the Midwest Princess*, the 26-year-old singer divulged her excitement and emotions during this unique encounter.

Chappell, whose birth name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, spoke candidly with host Drew Afualo about her unexpected journey to success and how surreal it has all been. “All these things that are happening to me now are just kind of icing on the cake. I never thought I could fly first class. You know what I mean? I never thought I would get access to so much backstage,” she revealed, as reported by People.

During the podcast, Chappell recounted a night out with Miley, reminiscing about a pivotal moment that tied their pasts together. She revealed to Miley that her first concert experience featured Miley herself, with the Jonas Brothers as the opening act. “Miley invited me to a party, and I was like, ‘You don’t know that you were my first concert when the Jonas Brothers were opening for you,’” Chappell recalled.

Reflecting on her younger days, Chappell shared how the dual personas of Miley’s character from *Hannah Montana* influenced her. “I loved that Hannah had two different personalities because it’s my [expletive] hair that gets me in trouble all the time. So, I wish I would’ve done her,” she said with a laugh.

Chappell also reminisced about how attending the concert with her classmates led to a tearful and unforgettable night. She described the scene: “I saw my friends start crying, and then little girls around us started crying, and I was like, ‘I guess I’ve gotta cry.’ I was like, ‘This is so emotional.’” She continued, “I didn’t understand then why people were crying, but now I get it. I’m like, ‘Oh, because that was the coolest thing.’ It was so spiritual.”

Chappell Roan’s tales of her rise and the influential experiences along the way highlight her journey and the unexpected surprises that come with fame.
