Childish Gambino to Perform at 2024 BET Awards

The lineup for the 2024 BET Awards has grown even more impressive just hours before the show kicks off. BET has revealed that Childish Gambino, Coco Jones, Summer Walker, Keke Palmer, Marsha Ambrosius, and Chlöe have been added to the slate of performers. Additionally, the awards show will feature presenters like Andra Day, Colman Domingo, DC Young Fly, Devale Ellis, Jay Ellis, Ms. Pat, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Saucy Santana.

The event, hosted by Taraji P. Henson, is set to begin at 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. Previously announced performers include a diverse range of artists such as Ice Spice, GloRilla, Latto, Ms. Lauryn Hill & YG Marley, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tyla, Victoria Monét, and Tanner Adell. Headlining the night will be a tribute to the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award—Usher.

“Usher is getting his flowers and I’m so honored to host the show where he’s receiving his flowers,” Henson shared.

“I’m just proud of him. It’s a proud moment. It’s a proud moment for the culture.”

Usher’s award presentation promises to be a highlight of the evening, further complemented by a performance from Hollywood star Will Smith, who will be delivering an original song.

“It’s going to be an incredible show,” Henson added.

“You know, it’s Culture’s Biggest Night. The performances are going to blow us all away. We got Will Smith, guys. I am so excited to see what he has up his sleeve.”
