Chrissy Teigen is casting her vote for the next Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover, and she is laser-focused on singer Sabrina Carpenter.

The model, who recently graced the cover of this year’s issue, made her preference clear in a recent interview with People magazine. Teigen pointed immediately to Carpenter, known for her hit song “Espresso.”

Teigen believes that Sabrina’s presence in the magazine would be fantastic. She mentioned that both she and her kids are currently obsessed with Carpenter’s music, though she humorously added a hope that her kids haven’t stumbled upon Carpenter’s more provocative tracks.

SKIMS

Sabrina Carpenter is no stranger to posing in minimal attire. She recently participated in a campaign for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS company, proving she’s comfortable with bold fashion choices. This makes it easy to envision her on the S.I. cover.

Despite receiving negativity from some Taylor Swift fans for collaborating with Swift’s longtime adversary, Carpenter quickly dismissed any rumors of a feud between herself and Swift.

Teigen didn’t stop at just promoting Sabrina; she also expressed interest in seeing other models make their returns to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, just as she did earlier this year.

In a surprising twist, Teigen revealed she wants Sports Illustrated to make a political statement by featuring Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as the first male to pose for the magazine.

As for Sabrina, only time will tell if she’s ready to embrace her “Wildside” and join the ranks of those who have made a splash with Sports Illustrated!
