Christian Nodal Duets with Pepe Aguilar and Gets Charro Lessons

The Aguilar family has been in a celebratory mood. Just weeks after Ángela Aguilar’s unexpected wedding, they gathered again to mark Pepe Aguilar’s 56th birthday. The day started with an intimate family gathering at home. Later, the renowned Mexican singer threw an extravagant party, honoring the tradition of charrería. During the festivities, Pepe not only shared some wisdom with his new son-in-law, Christian Nodal, but also performed a duet with him.

Pepe celebrated his birthday with his new son-in-law

On the evening of August 7, Pepe took to Instagram to share moments from his traditional Mexican fiesta, which took place in a charro arena. “I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate life than surrounded by my family and great friends. Infinite thanks for all your messages and good wishes!” he wrote.

The video from the event featured lively mariachi music. Both Pepe and his children, Ángela and Leonardo, showcased their excellent horse-riding skills. “@angela_aguilar_ even in heels,” Pepe proudly captioned, referring to his daughter, who wore flared jeans, a white top, and boots.

Present at the celebration were Pepe’s wife, Aneliz, as well as Jomari Goyso, a presenter from Despierta América (Univision) and a close friend of Ángela.

Pepe’s Instagram stories revealed stunning decorations and a mouthwatering menu, all meticulously crafted to pay homage to Mexican culture.

Nodal appeared overjoyed to spend quality time with his wife’s family, who warmly welcomed him from the get-go. Pepe had earlier expressed his fondness for the young singer and lauded his musical prowess. The party served to strengthen the bond between father and son-in-law further. Pepe even imparted an essential lesson in charrería to Nodal.

In one video captioned “Classes on how to wear a charro hat,” Pepe is seen teaching Nodal, who was donning the traditional charro hat. Nodal posed happily for Pepe’s camera, clearly cherishing the moment. Pepe eagerly showed him the photos on his phone, and their affectionate body language captured the warmth of their relationship.

A memorable moment unfolded hours into the party when the guests relocated to a more intimate setting to continue celebrating. Jomari captured images for Despierta América, showing several family members taking the stage to sing. Nodal performed “La Chancla,” accompanied occasionally by his brother-in-law, Leonardo.

Pepe also took the microphone, and Ángela delivered stunning performances, backed by a mariachi band, including hits like “Cielo Rojo.” The night culminated with everyone singing “Las Mañanitas” to honor Pepe, followed by a show-stopping duet that many would pay to witness: Pepe and Nodal sang, among others, “Por Mujeres Como Tú,” one of Pepe’s iconic tracks.

The event was a heartfelt celebration of family, tradition, and music, beautifully encapsulating the essence of Mexican culture.
