Christina Hall Accuses Ex Josh Hall of Diverting $35K Amid Divorce, Speaks Out

Christina Hall is speaking out after Josh Hall resurfaced on social media amid their contentious divorce.

The 41-year-old HGTV star took to her Instagram Stories to seemingly respond to Josh’s photo on his Story, which showed him walking in the woods with a prayer hand emoji. Christina seemingly replied with a full-glam selfie, also featuring a prayer hand emoji. The “Flip or Flop” star vowed to fight for what she has worked so hard to achieve.

“I have worked my a** off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she wrote on her Story.

After referring to her estranged husband as “an insecure man with a large ego,” Christina added, “For those that aren’t aware… divorces do not happen overnight… and there is always a breaking point. This one is personal.”

The divorce proceeding escalated this week when Christina filed legal court documents accusing Josh of diverting more than $35,000 of her money from rental property income into his personal Wells Fargo bank account. She claimed Josh, 43, contacted her professional property manager via text on July 8 and stated, “Hi. For June payments, can we please get it sent to a different account when it’s time? Thank you.” Christina attached a screenshot of the purported text to her filing and stated that she learned about this on July 21. They filed for divorce on July 16, and Christina listed July 7 as the date of separation.

She further claimed she “had no personal contact with Josh on July 8, 2024” and therefore “would not have asked him to send himself my money the day after I told him we are getting divorced.”

When contacted for comment, Josh denied any wrongdoing. For her part, Christina stated in court documents that she will have a “full forensic accounting performed for the entire term of our marriage,” which ended after two years and nine months.

Christina and Josh’s relationship began in 2021, the same year she divorced Ant Anstead. The ex-couple shares a 4-year-old son, Hudson. Prior to that, Christina was married to Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2018, and they share two children, Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8.

Two months before Christina’s latest divorce filing, it was announced that she and Josh would be teaming up with Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, for a new HGTV show, “The Flip Off.” The show was set to pit the couples against each other to see who can find, buy, renovate, and flip a house for the biggest financial gain.

Despite the ongoing divorce drama, “The Flip Off” is still set to move forward. According to someone close to the production, the show only recently started filming scenes “a few weeks ago,” and the team behind the series is still “figuring out what the plan is moving forward.”
