Ciara Rocks Sporty Looks by Alexander Wang and Le Père in New York

Ciara brought a dash of chic athleisure to the streets of New York on Tuesday. The “Goodies” singer embraced the jersey trend, featuring two distinct yet stylish looks.

Her first ensemble was an all-black Alexander Wang outfit. The look included a zip-up short-sleeved football jersey top paired with matching baggy trousers. A black trucker hat, Nike Air Max sneakers, and a large navy Hermès Birkin tote polished off her sporty yet chic appearance.

Later, she switched to a striped long-sleeve Le Père soccer jersey, balanced with black leather flares adorned with zipper embellishments. Accessories included chunky ERL cat-eye shades, a chain necklace, and the same Hermès Birkin bag.

Jerseys have become a street-style favorite at fashion weeks around the globe. Fashion enthusiasts are frequently seen donning vintage soccer, football, baseball, and motocross graphics. High-end brands like Balenciaga and Conner Ives have capitalized on this trend, bringing luxury versions of these casual tops to the market.

Rihanna embraced the trend late last month, wearing a V-neck Scott Racing top paired with camo Amiri cargo pants. This look was enhanced with luxurious details including a monogrammed Gucci purse and a long diamond chain accented with rubies, emeralds, and sapphires.

Ciara is set to collaborate with Bebe for the fall 2024 season. She will not only co-design a capsule collection but also be the face of its campaign.

“Growing up, the Bebe brand was iconic,” she shared with WWD in January. “My vision as creative director is to blend my own personal style elements of girl-next-door with tomboy, glam, and edge, with a nod to the ’90s. I want this collection to enable women to style it in their own way and feel confident on their terms.”

Additionally, Ciara recently released her new single, “Run It Up,” which she performed during Missy Elliott’s “Out of This World” tour. The tour features Ciara, Missy Elliott, and Busta Rhymes, traveling across the U.S. and Canada.
