Co-stars Joke About Renaming Jax Taylor’s Bar for Estranged Wife During Treatment

Would a bar by any other name still serve strong drinks?

Jax Taylor’s co-stars decided to have some fun by temporarily renaming his sports bar, Jax’s Studio City, in honor of his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, while he’s undergoing treatment.

“Britt’s Bar 😉🥂 just for fun! Hah. Such a fun night setting up a little bar makeover for our girl @brittany at @jaxstudiocity. We always say #BrittsBar … so why not make it a reality?! Hehe,” wrote “Valley” stars Nia Sanchez and Zack Wickham in a shared Instagram post.

Though emphasized to be “all in good fun,” Sanchez and Wickham included a poll, querying followers whether the establishment should permanently change its name to “Britt’s” from “Jax’s.” At the time of publication, 96 percent of the 1,871 voters were in favor of renaming the bar.

The lively Instagram post featured several photos. In one, Brittany Cartwright, 35, stunned in a hot-pink dress surrounded by Sanchez, Wickham, and Kristen Doute. The trio wore black T-shirts emblazoned with “Britt’s Studio City” and posed next to a large, light-up sign reading the same.

Taylor and Cartwright launched the sports bar in October 2023, and its opening was documented for Season 1 of the “Vanderpump Rules” spinoff show. However, their marital relationship faced turbulence, and just four months later, Cartwright announced on their joint podcast that they were separating after almost five years of marriage.

In April, Taylor talked about “definitely working on” himself with hopes of reconciling with Cartwright. However, by the following month, he mentioned they were open to “possibly dating other people.”

Taylor checked himself into a mental health facility last month. “Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast. He has made the decision to seek inpatient treatment.” his representative said. The rep also requested privacy and respect during this sensitive time.

The day after this announcement, Taylor shared on his Instagram that his main motivation for seeking help was his son, Cruz. In June, Taylor revealed on their joint podcast that he met an “absolutely amazing” female doctor at Jax’s Studio City.

“I went in there, and I literally just broke down,” he recalled. “I’m like, ‘This is what’s wrong with me, and this is what I’m doing, and this is who I’m attacking. And I have serious, serious anger issues, and I have a child, and I don’t want him to see me act like that.’” Cartwright added that they were trying to “exhaust everything else” before considering divorce.

While Taylor has been in treatment, Cartwright has been reportedly “hanging out” with Tanner Courtad, a former contestant on “The Bachelorette.” Courtad has been seen accompanying her during the filming of “The Valley” Season 2.

Although Cartwright hasn’t publicly commented on her relationship status with Courtad, she recently criticized Taylor for allegedly lying about his plans to donate his Cameo earnings to cancer research. According to a source from People, while Cartwright supports Taylor’s decision to seek help for their son’s sake, she has no interest in maintaining a relationship with him moving forward.
