Actors Colman Domingo and Christopher Abbott, along with singer Aidan Bissett, are the faces of the fall ad campaign for fashion retailer Cos. The campaign also features model and actor Mariacarla Moscono, who closed the brand’s spring runway show in Rome, and model Rianne Van Rompaey. Other models in the campaign include Taemin Park, Dara Gueye, Awar Odhiang, and Chu Wong.
The campaign showcases Cos’ signature aesthetic, focusing on nature-inspired designs with a neutral color palette and rich burgundy shades. In womenswear, the ads feature a trouser suit with an angular blazer and straight-leg pant. Other highlights include a Responsible Wool Standard-certified hooded top and a leather skirt. Loose-fitting leather, wool, and denim pants are paired with leather shirting or fine-gauge knits. Accessories include leather boots, loafers, buckled sandals, and fringed or quilted clutch handbags.
In menswear, the collection includes pieces like a wool herringbone coat suitable for day-to-evening wear. Layering is a key theme, featuring loose-fitting suits and textured knitwear in contrast with tailored shirts. Fluid trousers are worn with oversized leather jackets. Woven leather accessories, neckties, and winter scarves round out the men’s collection.
The ads were photographed in Milan by Karim Sadli with styling by Jane How. Hair for the campaign was done by Anthony Turner and makeup by Christelle Cocquet.
Cos, based in London and part of the H&M group, was launched in 2007. Since then, it has expanded globally, with stores in Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, and the Middle East.
Cos will return to New York Fashion Week with a show on September 10 at 1 p.m., which will also be livestreamed. The event will feature the fall 2024 mainline and Atelier collections, marking the third time Cos has participated in New York Fashion Week.
“New York is a dynamic city with so much character — it’s a place of inspiration, full of interesting and creative people. We are honored to return for our third year, bringing the collections to life on the runway at an exciting new location,” said Karin Gustafson, design director of Cos, last month when the brand revealed its return to NYFW.
