Tom Cruise’s son Connor enjoys a lowkey life away from the limelight.
The 29-year-old, whom the Mission: Impossible star shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, leads a lifestyle markedly different from his famous parents. Connor resides by the beach in Clearwater, Florida, where Tom partly owns and manages a residential building.
Even though Connor keeps his personal life out of the public eye, he recently made an exception to celebrate a friend.
Over the weekend, Connor shared a birthday tribute to a close friend on his Instagram Stories, posting pictures of them together in Florida.
In the first photo, he is seen posing next to his friend and fishing partner, who is cradling a French Bulldog, while Connor flashes a thumbs-up, simultaneously showing off a tattoo sleeve on his right forearm.
He also shared a picture of a group of friends on a fishing trip, proudly displaying a massive fish they had caught.
Although Connor hasn’t posted on Instagram in over a year and rarely discusses his personal life, his followers are familiar with his passions for fishing and golfing.
Tom and Nicole, married from 1990 to 2001, adopted Connor shortly after his birth in January 1995. Three years earlier, they had adopted their first daughter, Bella Cruise, now 31, who is currently an artist living in London.
Connor’s rare update comes at an interesting moment for the Cruise family. Tom’s third child, Suri Cruise, who he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes, is leaving their New York City home to start her first year of college.
It’s reported that Tom, who recently visited Paris for the 2024 Olympics, does not have a relationship with Suri, now 18. The two have not been seen together publicly since 2012 when he and Katie divorced.
Katie has also avoided divulging much about her personal life and details regarding Suri. However, she recently spoke about Suri’s departure for college. “I’m proud of my daughter. Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy,” she told Town & Country earlier this month.
“I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that,” she added. Suri is reportedly set to attend Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
