Countess Karen Spencer Shares Rare Video of Daughter Lady Charlotte’s Talent

Countess Karen Spencer’s daughter, Lady Charlotte, was recently featured in a rare video taken on the grounds of Althorp House. The footage, shared by Karen on her Instagram account, shows Charlotte riding her horse without a saddle, blissfully cantering through the picturesque estate.

The video captures a serene moment as Charlotte rides through the Deer Park, relishing her favorite evening activity. Karen accompanied the post with a heartfelt caption: “What could be better than a bareback canter through the Deer Park? Charlotte’s favourite evening activity [red heart emoji] #pony #bareback #sunsetride #horse.” The young Lady Charlotte seemed perfectly at ease, lifting her arms in joy as she and her chestnut horse roamed the fields.

However, changes are imminent for the Spencer family. Karen Spencer and her estranged husband, Charles Spencer—Princess Diana’s younger brother—announced their divorce back in June. Owing to this, Karen and Lady Charlotte will soon be relocating from their long-time home at Althorp House. Karen reassured her followers that Charlotte’s beloved horse will make the move with them.

When a fan expressed hope that Charlotte’s pony would accompany them to their new home, Karen confirmed, “Oh, we will!!” Ensuring the comfort of her daughter and the cherished animals seems to be a priority for Karen.

Earlier last week, Karen shared the news of their upcoming departure from Althorp House. She tied the knot with Charles at this estate in 2011, and they have lived there ever since. Alongside Charlotte’s pony, Karen revealed that she would also be taking Althorp’s resident sheep, Lucky and Minty, with them.

In her announcement, Karen wrote: “I’m looking forward to reconnecting with everyone on social media soon. I’ll be posting more regularly again starting in September.” Reflecting on her time at Althorp, she added: “I’m currently still at Althorp, and as we move into the fall, I look forward to closing this chapter out with you all and launching the next. I will be sharing an update on my projects and reflecting on all the wonderful things I have learned during my time here on this beautiful estate.”

In a separate post, Karen mentioned that she no longer has access to her Althorp Newsletter email account. She shared an image of one of her favorite projects: the gates to the walled kitchen garden, with Lucky and Minty posing by them. She teased followers about exciting discoveries made during an excavation, promising to share more details soon.

Charles Spencer also commented on their divorce, expressing his sadness in an announcement carried by the Mail on Sunday. He stated, “It is immensely sad. I just want to devote myself to all my children and grandchildren, and I wish Karen every happiness in the future.”

As the family navigates these changes, Karen’s social media updates provide a glimpse into their lives and the preparations for their new beginning. Her posts convey a sense of nostalgia for Althorp while showing optimism for the future, especially with her daughter’s joy and their beloved animals keeping them company.
