Customers Love the New SpongeBob SquarePants-Inspired Frosty Flavor

Wendy’s fans are buzzing with excitement over a possible collaboration with the beloved SpongeBob SquarePants universe. The anticipation is mounting, especially after a potential new Frosty flavor was hinted at.

A photo circulating on a SpongeBob SquarePants-dedicated Reddit community shows what looks like an official notice from Wendy’s. This memo suggests that the rumored limited-edition items are indeed on the way, in celebration of SpongeBob’s 25th anniversary.

Addressed to Wendy’s U.S. franchisees and company owners, the memo detailed an exclusive collaboration with Paramount, called the “Krabby Patty Kollab.” This collaboration is set to launch in the U.S., Canada, and Guam this fall, either as a combo meal or as individual items.

The “Krabby Patty Meal” will feature Wendy’s take on the iconic fictional Krabby Patty. This cheeseburger will come topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a special Krabby Patty Sauce. The meal also includes a side of medium fries and a new “Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty.” The Frosty is described as a unique dessert made with a Vanilla Frosty base and swirled with Pineapple Mango Puree. Needless to say, several Redditors are expressing their enthusiasm, saying the flavor “sounds phenomenal.”

According to the notice, associates should prepare for an October 8 launch of the “Krabby Patty Kollab” with Paramount. There will be a full campaign rolling out in the coming weeks to build up excitement for this limited-time menu, which honors the cultural icon that is SpongeBob.

While there has yet to be an official announcement from either Wendy’s or Paramount, a representative from Wendy’s did provide a statement to IndieWire. “While we can’t confirm what’s coming down Wendy’s innovation pipeline, we can share that we’re always looking to bring fans new menu items inspired by our fans’ cravings. We will be sure to keep you in the loop when we have more news to share,” the rep said.

Paramount has not responded to requests for comment from various media outlets.
