Danny Dyer Finds Andrew Tate’s Views ‘Interesting’ but Flags Major ‘Problem’

Danny Dyer believes Andrew Tate makes some thought-provoking points but also has significant issues as a commentator.

The British actor, known for roles in BBC’s EastEnders and the gangster film The Football Factory, shared his thoughts on Tate. Tate has been a figure of controversy due to his misogynistic views, leading to bans from various social media platforms.

Dyer recently delved into modern masculinity in his documentary How to Be a Man, questioning whether men have lost their sense of identity in modern Britain. In a new interview, Dyer commented on why he thinks Tate has garnered so much attention.

“Andrew Tate only exists because the media write about how masculinity is toxic. That’s how you create a space for Andrew Tate to exist,” Dyer told The Guardian.

While Dyer admitted that some of Tate’s commentary is “very f***ing interesting,” he didn’t hold back from his criticism, adding, “The problem is, he’s such a c**k.”

Dyer defended traditional gender roles, suggesting, “it’s OK to be a provider and protector” because “it’s a natural instinct for a man.” However, he pointed out a conflicting expectation in society: “If we’re going to keep b*****king men for being too masculine and also b*****king them for not opening up about their feelings – you can’t have it both ways.”

Tate, a former professional kickboxer, has been criticized for extreme views on traditional gender roles. In an October 2022 interview with Piers Morgan, Tate reiterated that women “belong” to men in marriage. He claimed he resonates with many men because he’s vocalizing what they already think and feel.

The controversy deepened when Tate was arrested in Romania on charges of human trafficking and organized crime. In June 2021, Tate and his brother faced charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women, which they both deny.

Recently, a court in Romania ruled that Tate can leave Romania, but he must remain within the European Union as he awaits trial. His spokesperson, Mateea Petrescu, declared this court decision a “significant victory and a major step forward” in Tate’s case.
