An interesting development has emerged between Daphne Joy and 50 Cent. Daphne has removed her social media post where she accused the rapper of rape, despite his ongoing lawsuit regarding that post.
Daphne, who is the mother of 50 Cent’s son Sire, made the rape and physical abuse accusations public in a March 28 Instagram post. 50 Cent denied the allegations immediately and subsequently sued her for defamation in May.
The post has now been deleted from Daphne’s official Instagram account. The exact timing and reasoning behind its removal remain unclear.
Sources familiar with the matter informed TMZ that Daphne’s decision to delete the post is not related to 50 Cent’s defamation lawsuit. No settlement has been reached, and the case is still progressing.
The rape accusation came shortly after a lawsuit was filed against Diddy, where Daphne was accused of being a “sex worker” for him. 50 Cent commented multiple times on Instagram, with captions like, “I didn’t know you were a sex worker, 👀 you little sex worker. LOL 😆.”
In response, Daphne called out 50 Cent, saying, “Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me.”
Attempts to reach Daphne for comment have gone unanswered. It’s yet to be seen whether the removal of the post will lead to any form of negotiation or peace talks with 50 Cent.
Representatives for 50 Cent have also been contacted but have provided no comment.
