Deadpool 3 Trailer’s Craziest MCU Debut Tease Isn’t Lady Deadpool

When it comes to the Deadpool Kid, the “Kid” refers to him being an old-timey gunslinger, not a literal child. Although, fans will be delighted to know that Babypool, Deadpool’s cutest variant, will also make an appearance in the movie, as revealed by a toy leak. The Deadpool Kid was introduced in 2010’s “Deadpool: Merc With a Mouth” #7 by Victor Gischler, Rob Liefeld, Matt Milla, Kyle Baker, and Das Pastoras. True to his name, he’s a version of Deadpool straight out of a classic Western. In this issue, the main Deadpool from Earth-616 ends up shooting the Deadpool Kid in the head — although, as we know, killing one of their own is rarely a straightforward affair, and the Deadpool Kid eventually makes a return.

Given the nature of the “Deadpool & Wolverine” film, seeing other variants of Deadpool shouldn’t be a surprise. The Time Variance Authority (TVA) plays a significant role in the plot, seemingly plucking Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) from his reality and allowing him to interact with a version of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) who has had a tough time in his own world. Hence, it’s entirely plausible for Deadpools from other universes to find their way into the storyline. Fans might encounter Cowboy Deadpool, Lady Deadpool, and Dogpool, among others. However, there might be more at play here, hinting at threats beyond Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), an X-Men villain even more terrifying than Onslaught.

The concept of alternate Deadpools opens up an exciting array of possibilities for the film. Different versions of the character provide ample opportunities for unique interactions and surprising twists. From a storytelling perspective, this could lead to incredible character dynamics, especially with the TVA’s involvement, which itself is a treasure trove of time-bending, reality-altering scenarios.

Speculation is mounting about the depth of the TVA’s role and how it will shape the narrative. By pulling Deadpool into a different reality, it allows the character to explore dynamics that would otherwise remain unseen. For instance, the inclusion of a Western-themed Deadpool offers a creative fusion of genres — blending the outrageous humor and antics of Deadpool with the gritty charm of classic Westerns.

Moreover, Babypool’s introduction, confirmed by the toy leak, adds another layer of intrigue. Given the character’s popularity for combining cuteness with chaos, Babypool’s presence is bound to bring a new flavor to the film’s humorous undertone. It will be interesting to see how the filmmakers integrate these wildly different Deadpool variants into a cohesive storyline that still honors the legacy of the original character.

This venture into multiverse storytelling isn’t entirely new to the superhero genre, yet it remains fresh and exhilarating, especially for Deadpool fans. It cues a progression that aligns with Marvel’s broader cinematic strategy, which embraces multiverse theories to bring unexpected characters and story arcs to the big screen.

Furthermore, the possibility of facing threats beyond Cassandra Nova adds an additional layer of suspense and excitement. Nova, known for her intimidating presence and complex character, is already a formidable adversary. Introducing other enemies would raise the stakes, presenting Deadpool and Wolverine with challenges that push both their physical and mental abilities to the limit.

As more information surfaces, fans eagerly await to see how these elements will come together. The movie promises to be a melting pot of humor, action, and intricate storytelling, leveraging the strengths of its characters to create a film that stands out in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the combination of Deadpool’s irreverent charm, Wolverine’s brooding intensity, and the unpredictable nature of the multiverse, audiences are in for a thrilling ride.
