Deadpool Actor Jokes About Disney World Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Tik Tok/@gothgirl_doesdisney

A “Deadpool” actor made a controversial joke during a performance at Disney California Adventure Park, and it’s causing quite a stir amid recent legal troubles for Disney.

This fan-captured clip shows the unidentified actor arriving late to a scene, quipping, “Cinderpool was late because he had to read every single page in the terms and conditions when he signed up for Disney+.”

The Wolverine actor, also part of the skit, responds with, “I don’t get it.” Deadpool counters, “They do.” The audience erupts in laughter.

This joke comes at a sensitive time for Disney. Recently, a man sued the company after his wife died due to a food allergy reaction at a Disney World restaurant in Florida last year.

Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal Disney’s unusual defense: the man’s Disney+ subscription included a clause mandating arbitration for disputes, effectively barring him from suing. Arbitration keeps disputes private, shielding Disney from bad publicity.

Disney requested the wrongful death lawsuit be dismissed based on this clause, as the plaintiff, Jeffrey Piccolo, had agreed to arbitrate any disputes when he signed up for a one-month trial of Disney+ in 2019. However, Disney recently announced it would no longer seek to dismiss the lawsuit.
