Director Shares BTS Look at Deadpool Corps with Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool & Wolverine features a plethora of exciting cameos, ranging from Wesley Snipes’ Blade to Jennifer Garner’s Elektra. Toward the conclusion of the film, audiences were treated to the appearance of the Deadpool Corps, a team of Deadpool characters spanning the multiverse. Most post-release marketing has emphasized these high-profile cameos, but director Shawn Levy recently gave fans a broader look at the Deadpool Corps on Instagram.

Levy posed with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, surrounded by various Deadpool characters, including Nicepool, Ladypool, Dogpool, and Kidpool, among numerous others. The image has sparked considerable buzz among fans.

Reflecting on her role as Ladypool, Blake Lively shared a nostalgic post: “In 2010, I was on Gossip Girl and about to film my first superhero movie, The Green Lantern with my kind Canadian co-star @vancityreynolds. He told me, our other co-star, another superhero newbie @taikawaititi, and all of us about @deadpoolmovie for the first time,” she wrote. “It was a ‘meta’ superhero. Most of us didn’t know what exactly ‘meta’ meant back then. Except Taika because he’s always been more brilliant than the rest of us mortals. We understood in theory, but how it would come together for an audience was murky, for everyone but him. It wasn’t a real dream. The movie was never gonna happen.”

In Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) alters the course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the help of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). The star-studded cast also includes Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox and Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova.
