Disney Movie Insiders Loyalty Program Concludes After 18 Years

Disney Movie Insiders members have only three months left to use their remaining points as the long-running loyalty program is set to end this year.

On Saturday, Disney announced that the program, which has been active for 18 years, will conclude in December. During its tenure, the program allowed fans to earn and redeem points by submitting eligible tickets for Disney, Marvel Studios, Star Wars, and Pixar films, in addition to linking their Disney+ subscriptions.

“As a valued Member, we would like to inform you that Disney Movie Insiders will be sunset as of December 4th, 2024,” an announcement on the website reads. “Our members’ passion for content across The Walt Disney Studios has always been at the heart of our program. We are incredibly grateful for your participation in the program and enthusiasm over the years.”

“Over the coming weeks, we encourage you to redeem your points for rewards from our collection. Points can continue to be used on a variety of offerings, including posters, movies, Disney Gift Cards, sweepstakes, and more. We greatly appreciate your loyalty, support, and understanding.”

While December 3 marks the final day to redeem points, September 6 will be the last day users can earn points.

Simultaneously, Disney announced that the Disney+ Perks program will launch in 2025 for subscribers of the streaming platform.

The conclusion of the Movie Insiders program follows Disney’s recent decision to shut down its TV Everywhere apps, including FX Now, ABC, Disney Now, Nat Geo TV, and Freeform. Although pay-TV customers will still be able to log into the websites via computers to watch on-demand content, access to the apps will end on September 23. Subscribers will need Hulu or Disney+ to continue streaming on their mobile devices and smart TVs.
