Onlookers in Tennessee danced to Dolly Parton’s classic hit “9 to 5,” while Texans celebrated with Houston native Beyoncé’s energetic “Texas Hold ‘Em.” The fans of the Empire State enjoyed a tribute from New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who highlighted the state’s importance through Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ anthem “Empire State of Mind.” Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom extolled the Golden State with a remix of Tupac Shakur’s “California Love” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

As the event unfolded, the energy peaked with Beyoncé’s “Freedom,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, as Harris appeared on stage, marking another surprise during her acceptance of the party’s nomination. The ceremonial roll call took place on the second day of the convention held in Chicago.

Each state contributed to the vibrant musical lineup. New Jersey attendees proudly embraced Bruce Springsteen’s iconic “Born in the USA,” while California highlighted its musical royalty with Tupac’s “California Love” and Kendrick Lamar’s hit “Not Like Us.” Illinois showcased local talent with Common’s “Fortunate,” and Massachusetts rallied behind the Dropkick Murphys with “I’m Shipping Up to Boston.”

In Virginia, Timbaland featuring Keri Hilson’s “The Way I Are” had the crowd swaying, while Utah’s representatives enjoyed Neon Trees’ “Everybody Talks.” The spirit of Wisconsin came alive with House of Pain’s energetic “Jump Around,” and Rhode Island delivered Taylor Swift’s catchy “Shake It Off.” Pennsylvania made its presence known through Wiz Khalifa’s anthem “Black and Yellow,” and Wyoming wrapped up the musical tribute with the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling.”
