Dolly Parton Sells Charming California Cabin — Take a Look Inside!

Dolly Parton has sold her cozy California cabin, and the pictures reveal a property as charming and down-home as she is.

The 78-year-old country icon listed her 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom, 1,800-square-foot cabin in Idyllwild, Calif., for $499,000 on June 4, according to online property sites. She accepted an offer, and the deal went into pending on June 17, finally closing on July 1.

Parton received $585,000 from the sale of her cabin.

This residence is nestled on just over a quarter of an acre of heavily wooded land, positioned on a hillside to provide both quiet and privacy. It also offers a blend of “rustic elegance and modern convenience,” as described in its listing.

Some of the highlights of this log residence include:

  • A cathedral ceiling in the living room.
  • A raised-hearth fireplace.
  • An open concept where the living room, kitchen, and dining areas flow together seamlessly.
  • Bedrooms on three separate floors, each featuring its own living space, bedroom, and bathroom.

The exterior of the house is equally enchanting, featuring a large cedar tree with a swing, a deck with exceptional views, and a pathway that meanders down to a creek.

While Parton still owns her main residence in Nashville, a former home of hers in Music City also sold in 2022.

Dolly Parton’s surprisingly humble former home in Nashville has finally sold, after many years on and off the market. Parton and her husband, Carl Dean, purchased the 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in 1980, and they owned it until 1996. It’s been on and off the market for 12 years, finally selling for $849,000 in December of 2021.
