Dolly Parton has always been candid about her willingness to undergo various cosmetic procedures to maintain her appearance. Recently, the 78-year-old music legend proved she has barely aged with a stunning throwback photo shared on Instagram.

Sporting her iconic larger-than-life hairdo and a figure-hugging dress with fringe details, the black and white image accentuated Dolly’s tiny waist. She captioned the photo with: “Fringe makes things more fun.”

This nostalgic post coincides with the recent launch of Dolly’s new cosmetics line, ‘Dolly Beauty.’ On Instagram, she shared a photo of herself in a makeup chair holding red lipstick, captioning it: “I feel glamorous on the inside, so I want to look like it on the outside… @dollybeauty.”

The initial product lineup from Dolly Beauty includes four lipstick shades under the Heaven’s Kiss collection, inspired by her music. The shades—Jolene Red, Honey Plum, Rosebud, and Birthday Suit—will be available online beginning August 22.

In a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Dolly discussed why now was the perfect time to embark on this new venture. “I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life like most girls, especially country girls that dream of glamour,” she explained. “I’ve always said I never leave a rhinestone unturned.”

Dolly revealed that her passion for makeup started at a young age. “I started creating my own little makeup things at home when I was just a kid, and I’ve been known for wearing makeup—usually too much—for years,” she said.

Known for her love of makeup, Dolly joked, “Lord knows, nobody wears more makeup than me, so I know all the little things I want.”

Dolly’s venture into the beauty industry is not her first foray into cosmetics. She launched a line of fragrances in partnership with Scent Beauty in 2021, which she explained was the catalyst for her current endeavor.

“I’ve always wanted my own wig line,” Dolly said. “But I always loved makeup, and when we did the fragrance, makeup seemed like the next step.”

Dolly emphasized her hands-on approach to product development. “I have to be involved in everything, and I sample and try things and say, ‘Oh, that’s not great, let’s go back and do this or that.'”

“From the packaging to the product itself, I want them to think of me when they use it,” she continued.

Currently focusing on lipsticks, Dolly plans to expand the Dolly Beauty line significantly in the future. “Through the years, we’ll be doing different products with makeup, and eventually, we may do hair care or this or that,” she shared. “Anything that has to do with beauty—new dreams come every day.”

Dolly Parton’s entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to beauty reflect her enduring influence on fans and the industry alike, showing that her charm is as timeless as ever.
