Donnie Wahlberg Hints at ‘Blue Bloods’ Future

Donnie Wahlberg isn’t pleased with the ending of Blue Bloods. He has expressed his love for the show and did his best to keep it going. Despite his efforts, the upcoming season is marked as the final one. Even so, Donnie remains hopeful for the show’s future.

During a New Kids on the Block concert in July, Donnie spoke to fans about Blue Bloods. His comments sparked interest online, giving fans some hope. He shared, “We filmed the apparent last season of Blue Bloods, and it’ll air starting in October. Maybe there’ll be something else after that.” His words energized the audience as he added, “I don’t know anything officially yet, but there are things in the works. So maybe something awesome will happen.”

Amidst the cheers, Donnie reassured fans that, regardless of the show’s outcome, he will continue working on new projects.

Donnie has spoken about his disappointment before. He mentioned that four years ago, the cast thought the show might end due to COVID-19. However, they pushed through and continued filming. Reflecting on this, Donnie said, “God willing we’ll get some more time together to do something magical again. I would just be honored to work with any of you again and I pray that that can happen, one way or another, I won’t give up trying.”

Similarly, Tom Selleck has voiced his concerns about the show’s ending. He highlighted that Blue Bloods remains one of the most-watched programs on its night. Tom questioned the network’s decision to cancel such a popular show, saying, “I will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses. We’re the third-highest show in all of broadcast. We’re winning the night. All the cast wants to come back. I think everybody’s really upset and sad.”

Do you share Donnie Wahlberg’s optimism about the future of Blue Bloods? Do you think there might be another chapter for the series, or is it truly the end? Would you watch another iteration of the show if it arose, or are you fine with its conclusion? Share your thoughts in the comments.
